A death row inmate staring down the barrel of an imminent execution by firing squad is at peace with his grisly fate and ready to be freed from the shackles of a life incarcerated, his family says. Brad Sigmon, 67, is scheduled to be executed at 6 pm EST on Friday at the Broad River Correctional Institution in Columbia, South Carolina, having confessed to murdering his ex-girlfriend's parents with a baseball bat in 2001.
