Along the way, she scores the job that "a million girls would kill for," a second assistant position to (fictional)Runwayeditor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep).
However, Andy quickly learns that the job comes with a lot more strings attached than fun perks — including navigating her working relationship with first assistant Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt) and mentor Nigel Kipling (Stanley Tucci).
Two decades after Andy leftRunway, she returns to help Miranda and her sidekick Nigel navigate the new digital landscape of media and determine what happens to the glossy magazine next inThe Devil Wears Prada 2. Meanwhile, Emily has since moved on and works as an executive at a luxury brand competing withRunwayfor advertising funds.
